Want to know what we thought the future would look like 50 years ago? 75 years ago? Well, now you can! For FREE!
Popular Science is a magazine which has been publishing since 1872. Every article published is now available online to read in the archives. A note on the website reads: “We’ve partnered with Google to offer our entire 137-year archive for free browsing. Each issue appears just as it did at its original time of publication, complete with period advertisements. It’s an amazing resource that beautifully encapsulates our ongoing fascination with the future, and science and technology’s incredible potential to improve our lives. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”
For now, the site is limited to keyword searching, although they say they are looking to add in browsing capabilities and advanced searching options.
