Online Access to the American Journal of Occupational Therapy

The Sullivan Library here at Dominican College is part of New York Online Virtual Electronic Library (NOVELNY) which provides the library with access to some databases at a discounted rate.

On July 1, there were some changes in the databases that would be offered. The additional databases that are now being offered come from a company called Gale. There are three new databases: Academic OneFile, General OneFile, and Health Reference Center Academic. This database will be offered to the Sullivan Library through at least June 30 of 2011.

If you are an OT student, this is great news! Academic OneFile has access to the American Journal of Occupational Therapy (AJOT) in full-text electronic format from January 1st, 2004 through present day. This means that you have access to the entire article in PDF format.

Click “Continue Reading” if you would like details on how to connect to this valuable resource.

To connect to Gale’s Academic OneFile log into this page with your Dominican College credentials.

Click on Gale Databases, then click Academic OneFile.

At the top in orange, click Browse Publications. On the left where it says Find Title, put in American Journal of Occupational Therapy. Click the resulting hyperlink for the journal.

You then have two options. You can search within the publication (left side) or choose a volume and issue that you want to look at — simply find the dropdown menu for the year, and choose the year you need.

Enjoy!
