Renewals allow you to extend the original loan period for an item already checked out to you. Renewals are not always for the same length of time as the original loan period.  The new due date is calculated from the date the renewal is submitted.

First, you need to get to the online catalog.  On the Sullivan Library homepage, hover over “Find” then select “Books, Ebooks, and more.”

Your User ID will match your DC username for the campus network.  The trick here is that you need to type your username in ALL CAPITALS.  For example, FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME1.  Your password is your birthday as an 8-digit number. The format will be the year, month, and day.  For example, if you were born on January 5th, 1990, your password would be 19900105.

Once logged in you can see which books you have checked out.  Check off the material you want to renew and click the “Renew Selected Items” button.
